In 2007, SEMLEX was elected for the creation, management and production of all official documents of Lithuania.

The contract is renewed every 4 years by national documents (eNID and ePassport).

Regarding polycarbonate documents, the system includes modules for biometric registration, the unique biometric database, the creation of unique registration numbers and the personalization of documents for each citizen.

The SEMLEX team has also carried out operational training to empower and transmit the management of the system and the production of ultra-secure documents to administrative agents.
